Edible Academy Opens to the Public
14 June 2018

The New York Botanical Garden dedicated its Edible Academy in a festive ribbon-cuttng ceremony on June 14th. The new facility includes indoor classrooms, cooking facilities, a 350-seat terraced amphitheater, a teaching greenhouse and a pavilion with view of the Bronx River. Bruce Davis, AIA, has led the efforts for this greatly anticipated project. The Edible Academy is part of the education program offered at New York Botanical Garden that will help children, families, teachers, and the general public learn about growing and preparing vegetables, fruits, and herbs while encouraging a lifelong interest in gardening and healthy living.
