Kingsboro PLACE

Kingsboro PLACE

of

Kingsboro PLACE is a community-focused affordable housing development sited on a portion of the Kingsboro Psychiatric Center in East Flatbush, designed in response to the New York State’s $1.4 billion Vital Brooklyn initiative, a program managed by Empire State Development (ESD) in collaboration with New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR).

Led by a partnership of local real estate developers and sheltered housing providers, the master plan proposes over 1,000 affordable residential units, community facilities, retail space, and a one-acre public park. Cooper Robertson led the development of the conceptual master plan, including the street and block layout, building massing and programming, and public realm design.
