On April 3, Rebuild by Design unveiled the ten finalist proposals for improvements to the physical, social, economic, and ecological resilience of communities throughout the Sandy-affected region. Under the mantra that “Resilient Businesses Make Strong Communities”, the Cooper Robertson/HR&A team developed concepts for Red Hook in Brooklyn, Rockaway Park Beach 116th Street in Queens, and Asbury Park, New Jersey, over the last five months in partnership with local stakeholder coalitions.
