The plan is organized around four distinct quads, bordered by academic facilities which enjoy a commanding view of the athletic fields below. To return a sense of cohesion to the campus, two new streets provide additional access to the visual and performing arts facilities, while a redesigned lower walkway connects the residence halls on both sides to the library and social activities at the center of campus. By clearing away the overgrown landscape at the bottom of the hill, the view up toward the chapel is exposed, restoring its visual primacy for all visitors approaching the campus from the city.
