Urban Design
Cooper, Robertson's work developing mixed-use sites encompasses everything from designing entire towns, new communities, and campuses from scratch to re-imagining existing cities, waterfronts, campuses, and public open spaces. On these sites, we also often undertake the architectural design of component structures within our own master plans.

Our strong base in public sector work is extremely useful when acting as representatives for our development clients as it enables us to understand and address public issues in a way that meets with city and community approval.

All of our urban design work is guided by the larger order beyond the site, its physical imperatvies (such as climate and topography), its culture and history, and its connections to the environment, both phsyical and organic, obvious and hidden. The result, therefore, is user-friendly, environmentally sustainable, politically viable, financially repsonsible, and, ultimately, artistcailly superior.
