Cooper, Robertson's architectural work encompasses a wide variety of corporate, commercial, academic, retail, resort, mixed-use, and residential facilities as well as a large number of high-end single-family residences ranging from apartment renovations to entire compounds spread over many acres. In places as diverse as France, the Dominican Republic, California, and Washington, DC, our buildings respond to their landscape, their cultures, and their climates while meeting practical requirements and functional uses, often using natural materials produced locally. The use of natural materials is just one aspect of our inherently “green” process; part of our commitment to design buildings which use as little water and energy as possible, sustain public and occupant health through excellent indoor air quality, and limit negative impacts on the surrounding air, land, and water. With many LEED-certified professionals on staff, we have an active Sustainable Design Committee which meets twice a month. (Please note that, in order to protect the privacy of our clients, a good number of our private residences are not shown publicly here.) |
