Joining Cooper, Robertson in 2001, Wei has been focused on the programming, design, and the construction of institutional buildings with expertise in sustainable design and the LEED rating system. She has worked as an architect on several prominent cultural projects including The Whitney Museum of American Art (its new building in the Meatpacking District in Manhattan, the proposed expansion of the Madison Avenue site, and work on the existing Marcel Breuer building on Madison Avenue), the expansion of the Museum of Modern Art, and MoMA QNS (the Museum of Modern Art's temporary home and permanent facility in Queens). Her academic work includes the Ethical Culture Fieldston School, Columbia University's new School of Social Work, significant renovations at The New School, and the Hunter College Master Plan. Wei holds a Master of Architecture degree from Tulane University.
