
Karen Cooper
President
Karen is responsible for firm-wide strategic planning and business performance overseeing development, growth, diversification and staff development. Since becoming President in 2008, Karen has reorganized the structure and refined the focus of the firm. She joined the firm at its beginning in 1979 and has served in a variety of roles including Director of Marketing and Business Development, and has acted as liaison to many of Cooper, Robertson's public, private and institutional clients. For two years she served as Special Assistant to the Chair of the New York City School Construction Authority overseeing the reorganization of the design and construction department and its practices, among other projects. She has also served as a marketing consultant to real estate development entities. Karen believes that learning is life long and continues to cultivate success by participating in numerous organizations and panel discussions, including the Society for Marketing Professional Services, the New York Chapter of the AIA, the Institute of Urban Design and the Urban Land Institute. A previous member of the Mayor's Committee of Englewood, New Jersey, and a Board Member of the Arts Horizons organization, Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York.
