The firm's administrative manager and public policy coordinator for over thirty years, David also served as project manager on many institutional and public projects including Battery Park City, Yale's Campus Framework, the University of Texas at Austin Brackenridge Tract Plan, the Johns Hopkins Medical Center, Harvard’s Allston Expansion, the Framework Plan for MIT, and the SUNY Stony Brook Plan. He has been the advisor on zoning and tax policies, public incentives, and public approvals processes to the 42nd Street Development Corporation and the Rockefeller Development Group, among others. Prior to joining Cooper, Robertson, David was Director of Manhattan Planning for the City Planning Commission, Assistant to NYC’s Mayor, and Commissioner of Development. He also served as University Officer for Academic Resources at Long Island University, acting President of Southampton College, and Chancellor of the Vermont State Colleges. David received his Bachelor’s degree from Harvard College and his Doctorate from Columbia University.
