Sitting at the edge of marsh grasses where swans and geese dwell, the original house on this site was called by the soon-to-be owner and client: “the worst house on the best piece of land I have ever seen." Cooper, Robertson & Partners significantly transformed the original structure, cladding the house in cedar shingle, re-making the roof lines, and adding a two-story octagon as the new central living space and master suite. One enters into a double-height, scaled down version of the “Great Room” at the center of which sits a grand piano. A sweeping stair gains access to the second floor, master suite, and additional bedroom suites.
