• New Town Williamsburg

    James City County, Virginia

The winner of an international competition, the New Town plan is intended to serve as a model for more rational development in the region. A detailed master plan sets out zoning and design guidelines for this new 600-acre village center for the City of Williamsburg and James City County, a place of great historic value that is rapidly growing due to its tourism and educational institutions. One central component completes a pattern of significant places around the perimeter of the College of William and Mary.
