• Ethical Culture Fieldston School Athletic Center

    Riverdale, New York

    Cooper, Robertson programmed, planned, and designed this new 38,000 square foot athletic center to accommodate physical education classes as well as extracurricular team sports. With an asymmetrical vaulted roof-line clad in metal panels above a field-stone base, the building connects to existing buildings on the west side of the lush Riverdale campus and overlooks an outdoor turf athletic field. Inside, there is a double gymnasia allowing for two full-court basketball games to be played at the same time as well as a fitness center with training rooms, locker rooms, and shower facilities. The building is also connected to a new Aquatic Center, also designed by Cooper, Robertson.
