    Built on schedule and under budget, this office complex combines both modernist and traditional devices to enhance its memorable location north of L'Enfant Plaza on Maryland Avenue, one of the great diagonal axes radiating from the Capitol. The design is shaped by the site's symbolic location and triangular shape, the architectural character of its neighbors, its program, and its zoning requirements.
