• Memphis Riverfront

    Memphis, Tennessee

Currently, downtown Memphis is isolated from both its riverfront and Mud Island by railroad tracks, road networks, and topography. The plan breaks through these obstacles to make a seamless connection between city and river through the creation of a river-oriented public realm including streets, view corridors, river walks, and parks. Ambitious features include a landfill 'bridge' connecting downtown with Mud Island, the recreation of Memphis's historic cobblestone landing, and a dam-engineered lake as the centerpiece for new residential neighborhoods.
