  • Founding Partner Alexander Cooper, architect of Zuccotti Park, is participating in a panel on public space and freedom of assembly at the Center for Architecture in New York this Saturday, December 17th. The discussion will put in context the state of public space today, and how design can play a role in our free expression through assembly.

  • Founding Partner Jaque Robertson will be a paneliest at the 2011 APA NY Metro Chapter Biennial Conference, "The Future of Planning, a new Paradigm." The Plenary Panel discussion "Robert Moses: Visionary or Villian?" takes place Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 10:30am in the Roone Arledge Auditorium in Lerner Hall at Columbia University (W116th Street & Broadway).

  • Partners John Kirk and Manuel Mergal present "Sensitivity and Sensibility: Additions and Adaptations in New York" at the Traditional Building Conference October 21 from 10:45am to 12 noon at 20 W44th St in Manhattan. The presentation showcases four of Cooper, Robertson's New York projects: the conversion of an historic townhouse, the expansion of an historic church; the adaptive re-use of a former mill; and the transformative renovation of a Manhattan apartment.

  • Partner Bill MacIntosh presented Cooper, Robertson's Master Plan for the CUNY College of Staten Island in a session at SCUP-46, the Society for College and University Planning's annual international conference held July 23-27, 2011 in National Harbor, Maryland. Taking place Monday July 25th at 10am, the session was called "Planning a 2020 Campus With 20/20 Vision."

  • Partners John Kirk and Manuel Mergal will be giving a talk titled "Inherently Sustainable Design: Traditional Design" at the Traditional Building Conference in Chicago on October 23rd. They will identify sustainable strategies inherent in traditionally designed houses, demonstrating the relationship between individual houses and the regions they occupy. The talk will explore setting-responsive approaches to sustainable house design via a range of examples spanning from Upstate New York to the Caribbean.

  • Scott Newman was chosen to present Cooper, Robertson's design for the new CUNY Hunter College School of Social Work and Public Health in a session at SCUP-45, the Society for College and University Planning's annual international conference which was held July 10-14, 2010 in Minneapolis.

  • On Friday, May 21, 2010 at 11:00am at the Hilton Atlanta in the Grand Ballroom AB (255 Courtland Street NE), Founding Partner Jaque Robertson will receive the Athena Medal for Lifetime Achievment at CNU-18, the 18th annual Congress for the New Urbanism. CNU is the leading venue for new urbanist education, collaboration, and networking.

  • On Monday, April 19th at 6:30pm at the Morgan Library & Museum in New York City, Jaque Robertson gave a talk on Andrea Palladio on behalf of the Palladio Exhibit at the Library in conjunction with the John Soane Award and Gala which takes place on April 26th, of which Jaque Robertson is Co-chair.
